Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013!

Goodbye 2012
Today has consisted of lots of cleaning, catching up on the to-do list, and reflecting over the past year. What a wild ride we Huff's have had! So in order to try and keep this post from turning into a marathon, let me just list our top ten moments of the year (in no particular order)!

10. Finding out about our growing family in January :)

9. Restoration Emporium opening in the West Bottoms

8. My mom got married & moved to Missouri

7. Left my first teaching job, a really great team, and some really great friends and got a new job in a new school district and love it!

6. Ryne got his first teaching & coaching job in July teaching at Bonner Springs High School. We live in the land of Educators at our house.

5. We were a part of some beautiful wedding ceremonies for some of our best friends!
My dear sweet Lauren at her wedding. She allowed me to be a prego bridesmaid. So special!
Our Wheatridge gang at the Polk's wedding!

4. Found out our sweet Hudson would be born with club feet.
Miracle feet.
3. Said goodbye to big red and inherited Black Salsa.
Baby Hudson's first and last ride in Big Red. Sad.

2. Worked on continuing renovations to our house. Baby nursery included.

New privacy fence to keep little bad puppies from escaping.
Baby Hudson's nursery
Current Project: Started Dec. 29- pulling out bookshelves, pulling paneling off of walls, and covering paneling along the two sides of the fireplace.

1. Most of our year was consumed with preparing for baby Hudson to arrive in September. Several baby showers, lots of shopping, nesting, and of course the mental prep. for becoming parents. When we look back to 2012 this will be our most vivid memory!

Hello 2013!

We are ready for whatever mountains we might get to climb this year. If there is one thing that 2012 taught us, it was to always trust that the Lord is in control, and that if he brought us to it, he would bring us through it. This year I am looking forward to:
celebrating Hudson's first birthday, summertime with my boys, starting my masters degree? ahh!, buying our house, and so many other wonderful things!

Some of my personal goals this year are:
1. To be more intentional about loving my husband. He is an incredible man.
2. Live in constant prayer. It's a wonderful thing.
3. Touch the lives of others through kindness. Pay it forward.
4. Worry less about all the little things! Worry just causes wrinkles. :)

Happy New Year!
